Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate at Savers is a vital component in the support of daily warehouse operations. Responsibilities include backing drivers in unloading donations, arranging items, documenting product weights, and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. Additionally, tasks entail loading trailers, managing stock records, and ensuring safety compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Back up drivers by aiding in the transfer of donations onto carts during warehouse tasks.
• Organize received donations into groups like soft goods, solid goods, large items, and home furnishings.
• Accurately record the weights of items on the carts through proper weighing procedures.
• Store and organize full carts in specified areas of the warehouse for systematic storage.
• Submit precise route paperwork by verifying truck weights and compiling detailed delivery reports.
• Conform to the specific Savers procedures for trailer loading and ensure the accurate tracking of product weights as items are loaded onto the trailer.
• Support in the repeated stock monitoring and inputting of data to ensure updated stock-on-hand details.
• It is important to ensure that aisles and walkways are tidy and clear of any obstructions to promote safety.
• Employ a calculator to update tare weights and ascertain the net weights of items.
• Ensure that forklifts undergo routine safety assessments in accordance with company protocols and state laws.
• Provide support in the process of loading and unloading trucks for store relocations.
• Carry out supplementary responsibilities as instructed, which may include overall office and restroom maintenance.

Qualifications:

• The minimum educational level required is a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• An ideal candidate would have prior warehouse or logistics experience.
• Important to have the capability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
• Being highly attentive to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Fundamental mathematical expertise essential for calculating weights and maintaining inventory records.
• Proficiency in observing safety guidelines and promoting a tidy work setting.
